These are my barns. There isn't much inside, not much exciting anyway, just an old lawn mower, a few forgotten tools, and a bit firewood my dad stacked inside over ten years ago.
The "barns" my father built are, or were, woodsheds and tool sheds. I noticed they were looking raggedy this year, so I spruced them up with a coat of exterior paint. Maybe one day I will put them to good use once again.

...like most things, barns if cared for will last and last. Of course red in the color of choice for barns. I'm sure that your dad would be proud! Thanks for checking in Martha, I hope that you have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteI am making a valiant attempt to take care of what I have. Dad always said, "You only have what you take care of." He was good at taking care of his things. I only hope I can do the same. It's an overwhelming job right now.

Doesn't it though?

Love what you did to the place...perfect sprucing up.
ReplyDeleteI do love barns and all their character.
Thank you, Sue. I have plenty of ideas. Ha ha! My dad was a country boy at heart. I guess I am following in his footsteps.
DeleteLove those- they look great. We had a woodshed and a toolshed on the farm where I grew up. My dad and uncle and a neighbor built them. The last time I went past the farm they were still standing. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI remember my dad building these and it would be a shame not to keep them in good repair. I can't do much in the way of construction, but I can wield a paintbrush.
