We thought we might take our kids out for a ride this afternoon, but when we came home from church to eat lunch, a strange sleepiness came over me. It was cold outside and not much warmer inside. James lit a fire in the stove. Suddenly I couldn't imagine going out and traipsing around even though the skies were sunny and the leaves bright and beautiful. Someone turned on the TV and popped in a "Hogan's Heros" DVD. I curled up in a blanket, snuggled up next to Hannah on the couch, and dreamed about yesterday's walk in the woods...

I will post a few more pics on my site since Kodak Easyshare doesn't want to work.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely group of pictures, and I just love the one of you and you and Rachel!!
ReplyDeletePictures really bring us together.. In fact I really feel like I've known you for years.
BTW the Pastor's daughter (age 9) told me today my Chili was the best, and she can't believe I didn't win....she also like my chocolate chip cookies. Maybe next year... This afternoon Don told me I need to make another pot this week...which I will do!!

Oh Martha, your posts make me smile. I haven't heard the term "soaker" in ages....and I am glad you jumped up and down on the bridge just to make sure....your nap sounds so cozy...the cold weather is coming!!

very nice photos! I like the sisters photo a lot. You two look a lot alike!
ReplyDeleteNo wonder you didn't want to go. Such a great time to remember in dreams. Glad you got to snuggle and be quiet with the family. Good times, eh?
ReplyDeleteLOL what a wonderful way to spend the day...I love being curled up in front of a fire...too bad we no longer have a fireplace.
ReplyDeleteGood thing she didn't fall right off that log!
ReplyDeleteAnd you guys told me you "went to go see something" yesterday. Goofs.
Hey you have pretty nice woods too! I'm busy resizing and color-correcting my photos from up north. They'll be on Facebook soon!
ReplyDeleteI put my pictures up. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=43907&l=35d0d&id=517223638
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you two had a great day! I can relate to your restaurant experience. It seems like you always get bad service when you are REALLY hungry!!! Glad you found better service elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very beautiful, scenic spot. I would love to go walking here with my dog. I find creeks so interesting, you never know what is around the bend as you meander up them. Maybe a little waterfall, or an interesting stone, or something unique in the water.
