Today was quiet, dark, and drippy. I tossed the pie- making idea back and forth for most of the day. Remember Betsy's Random Acts of Kindness? Well, I have an idea in mind. It involves pie and someone who I think could use a little bit of encouragement.
I made more than one pie this afternoon, because it always feels like there should be one here too.
*sigh*
We'll all be nice and pudgy by the time the holidays arrive.

I knew it!

Ha!
I am getting to know you REAL well.....
Cheers!

The house always smells so good when there's pie int he oven. Dual purpose activity; nourishment and aroma-therapy.

What a lovely RAK....I'm sure you encouraged someone with that! And your family gets one, too....wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI guess I've already given a few pies away and hadn't thought if it as an RAK. This one is just a little different than the others since I don't really know the person it's going to.

I LOVE pie..........but I have not found a decent pie crust since I discovered that I am gluten intolerant. I have tried all sorts of combinations, but nothing is as good :-( Yours always look so mouth watering. That was lovely of you to make one for someone else... :-)

I have not tried or found a good gluten free crust either. This is just a regular pastry crust, the kind my mother used to make.
DeleteI am very sad for the people of Canada too. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
