I went down to the drainage ditch to check on the red winged blackbird nest. Last time I checked it was occupied by at least an egg or two. 
This time it was holding not just eggs but naked little birds. I couldn't see them very well so I went "ahhhh!" and up popped a tiny head and a rather large mouth.. Very cool!
