ReplyDeleteAre green bugs on the list?
ReplyDeleteOh Yeah, what Rachel said!! Fried bell peppers, humm, sounds good. I'm gathering regional info again :o) so what goes in your pasta salad and mayo on the tomato sandwiches?
ReplyDeleteYou forgot fresh fruit in your cereal in the mornings.
ReplyDeleteMy dad always loved fried pepper sandwiches, fried bell peppers, cheese, tomato, lettuce, some lunch meat and mayonaise or salad dressing. Eat it on toast. Mmmm, mmmm good! Don't forget the napkins! As to whether or not it's regional, I don't know. I don't know anyone else who eats them.
ReplyDeleteWhat goes in the pasta salad? Hard boiled eggs, chopped up celery, bell pepper, cucumber, radishes, maybe some onions, and tonight, tiny shrimp. Stir it up with salt and pepper, dried cilantro, some chili powder and Miracle Whip.
And yes, mayo on the tomato sandwhich (or Miracle Whip) and a piece of cheese is nice if I decide to grill it. Bad thing is they tend to be slippery and I need to wear a bib.
You might want to add some pasta to that pasta salad too. I like the little rings best.
ReplyDeleteJon, if you want to eat green bugs, you can add them to your list.
ReplyDeleteOh extra yummy!! definitely will try the fried pepper sammies and except for the cucumber the pasta salad sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI love everything on your list except chicken and I never decided if I like 3 bean salad. Corn on the cob and watermelon are my favs.
ReplyDeleteYummm... When's the picinic?
ReplyDeletemmmm I am with jon on this one.... the green bug.... he is missing a leg. so someone has started eating...him?
ReplyDeletemaybe that leg had some chocklet on it?
It all sounds wonderful (except I don't care for tea.) I've never had fried peppers, but I'd sure try them if I had the chance.
ReplyDeleteMost of my family would eat bacon and tomato sandwiches-with Miracle Whip-every day of the week when the tomatoes are in season.
Yes, T, the bug is missing a leg. Probably Jon got hungry...
ReplyDeleteI was expecting to see grasshoppers on the list as well. Your list sounds great. I have never really thought about how our eating is seasonal.
ReplyDeleteewwwwww!
