Lunch

Jam on biscuits, jam on toast,
Jam is the thing that I love most!
(Frances, the hedgehog)

What better lunch on a dark dreary day than fried eggs with toast, homemade strawberry jam and a nice hot cup of coffee? Yummy!

  1. That sure does look good, much better than my yogurt, nectarine, and almonds.

  2. Sounds good. I'm wondering how the kids are faring at camp in the Adk park. It always rains there!

  3. I thought about your kids today, Priscilla. Sunshine is preferred over rain, but somehow rain has a way of making things memorable.

  4. Martha, we had eggs and bacon tonight for dinner. It was very good and very simple.

Priscilla, my son is at camp this week, too, and I know it rained A LOT yesterday, at least. I agree with Marth, though, when it rains at camp, it's very memorable.

  5. This was one book I remember from growning up....and this rainy weather is lovely, I seriously like it...but it can go away when we are camping...I'd rather not have a memorable time in the Adirondacks!

  7. We're going camping the 1st weekend of August, so I'm hoping it won't rain then. Dave says, "Who are you kidding? It ALWAYS rains when we go camping." I don't think we've ever camped as a family where it hasn't rained...not necessarily all day, but during the night. We'll see...
I hope all the kids are having fun in spite of it!
