Yesterday was an absolutely splendid day for a family picnic. We drove a little over an hour down to Red Jacket Park in Penn Yan where my uncle has hosted Fourth of July picnics for the past fifteen years. Each year the crowd varies slightly with different cousins, aunts, uncles, and other friends and family members. Each year Uncle Chuck brings out his crazy homemade bicycles and the kids make spectacles of themselves riding back and forth in front of and through the park. Some years there has been stilt walking, bean bag tosses, or jump roping. This year's new fun? Pogo sticks. All the kids had to try it.
I am a work in the hands of the Master Potter. I pray that His fingerprints are all over me as I walk through this life. This is my journey. Thank you, Jesus, for not giving up on me.
I am mom to seven beautiful grown ups and grandma to ten beautiful grandchildren.
