1. Lay there awake and stare at the darkness. (Been there, done that.)
2. Get up and take some Tylenol and hope you can sleep when it kicks in.
3. Pray.
4. Clean the house. ( I can't do that because it would wake up my husband.)
5. Take a shower or a nice warm bath. (I took a shower before I got in bed the first time.)
6. Color a picture. It's a nice quiet activity.
7. Read.
8. Balance your checkbook.
9. Have a snack. (No, I didn't do that.)
10. Surf the internet.
11. Check the blog...

ReplyDeleteReading is a wonderful thing...something a mom hardly has time to do in the daytime...or someone who seems too busy and has no children at home anymore...Reading all the things you have never had time to read before...with one caution...
ReplyDeleteYou have to make a deal with yourself...that you won't read till dawn like gramanita does...I make a deal to go to bed early...start reading to go to sleep...get too interested in the book and sometimes I look around and realize it is 9am and the sun is shinning in the window...a whoops! if there ever was one...so...lesson # 1234564..use caution when reading
