It is good we have two computers otherwise there would be no 3X Thursday today...
Beth and I went on a field trip to Tinker Nature Center. We walked the trails and found an enchanted forest full of Fairies. I am sharing 3 photos from our walk this afternoon. There were so many cute little dwellings that it was hard to choose just three.
1. Is there still a child living within and do you ever let it out?
2. Do you consider yourself more athletic or more artsy?
3. Did you play in the woods as a child?
We cut our walk a little short and turned around after the little grove of Fairy Houses. Perhaps there were more around the bend, I don't know, but "Nature" was calling loud and clear, so we headed back toward the Nature Center Building (a cute little museum where you can rent cross country skis or snowshoes, providing there is snow...) and the potties. It was a wonderful afternoon and we enjoyed ourselves very much.

1. Yes, there is a child within and I let her out as often as possible.
ReplyDelete2. I am not athletic at all, so I must be more artsy. (Just wait until I have a Fairy Village in my yard.)
3. The woods was one of my favorite places to play. For at least a year I went there directly after school, as did most of the other kids in the neighborhood.
1. Is there still a child living within and do you ever let it out? No.
ReplyDelete2. Do you consider yourself more athletic or more artsy? Artsy. My New Years Resolution is to touch my toes so I am working on Stretching exercises.
3. Did you play in the woods as a child? Yes, at Grandmas farm. It was great!
I am hoping to get outside for a walk at least a couple times a week. And, I need to master the art of exercising my muscles without a lot of movement. ha ha!
Delete1. Yes, all the time. :)
ReplyDelete2. Ummm, lol! I guess more athletic.
3. Oh yes, of course! It was great fun building forts or just taking a walk.
I think being a child was so great that we will always want to go back.
Delete1. Only on a rare occasion do I let my inner child's hair down. My daughter is 5 months, Mark's son is 13 and Mark is 12...I live with a bunch of children so I have to be the grown up 99% of the time.
ReplyDelete2. Definitely more artsy. I cannot do the exercise thing.
3. Nope, no woods where we lived unless we went hiking in the mountains. We did build a lot of leaf forts in the back yard though. :-)
I think you have a bit of child in you even yet. After sll, look at your mom and grandma. They never really grew up.
DeleteYou would have loved playing in the woods!
1. Yes....I have an inner child. I miss having. Little girls who play with dollhouse. I could stand to let that inner child out more often.
ReplyDelete2. Artsy
3. Yes. I remember building a fort, climbing trees, carving my initials it tree trunks, catching polliwogs, etc.
Can you come over and play sometime?
Deletea place i've never been to, looks like I need to do something about this
ReplyDeleteYes, you do. Tinker Nature Park/ Hanson Nature Center is on Calkins Rd just a mile and a half west of Rt 65. I'm going to make a return trip one day too.
DeleteThere is another place on 65 just before the Thruway called Issac Gordon Nature Center. I might have to find a friend and check that out too.
