I thought about him a lot the other day, although not a day passes where I don't think about him. It is hard to believe he would have been 80...sounds so old to me. I miss him so much.
Around the corner from me is an old Italian man who has a lift on his shoe. I asked him once if he had had polio as a kid, but he said no. I explained to him why I had asked and he found it fascinating that my Dad had a lift on his shoe. I even remember telling Dad about the conversation because it happened before Dad passed away. Anyway, I noticed a "Happy 90th" sign in his front lawn when I walked the dog on Dad's birthday. It's still there. Not sure when it was put up, but thought it was interesting.
Oh what a precious picture. Faces of love and contentment.
ReplyDeleteI just realized, my dad who passed away at 57, would be 100 on April 5, 2012.
I still miss him.....
He would've been 80? Doesn't seem possible... I miss him so much.
ReplyDeleteI think we shall go on missing them until we get there.
