Autumn orchard walks take us past stacks of empty apple crates. They stand in
Apple Crate Cities waiting to be hauled off between the trees, filled with semi ripe fruit, and either put into storage or taken to Mott's. My kids think they are actually giant playgrounds...
Motts should just hire your kids to be "crate inspectors", that way the would get paid for having fun.
ReplyDeleteMy fear is the farmer will see them and chase them out of the orchard with a pitchfork!
ReplyDeleteApple Pie, Apple Crisp, pork chops and Applesauce...so many good things from apples.
ReplyDeleteI slice an apple up every afternoon for Don and me. That Apple a Day thing....haha.
Sometimes I'm sure I smell apples but can't tell where it's coming form.
ReplyDeleteMotts? I thought those M's were for Martha! :)
ReplyDeleteSurprise, Betsy! :)
ReplyDeleteHey you kid! Get down from there!
