A Nudge in a New Direction

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6

God is at work again. My heart is hurting and I want to go into my room and have a good long cry, but I am not undone. I choose to trust the Lord is moving in my life and the lives of those around me. I believe that if life never brought us pain or discomfort we would be content to stay right where we are at. He does not choose to leave us to ourselves but rather to work in our lives, to mold and shape us, and to make us a little more like Him every day.

When God moved Joseph to Egypt, there was pain. When God moved the Children of Israel out of Egypt, there was pain. The pain resulted in action, the action brought about change. In the same way God works in the lives of His children today. Tonight I hurt. In the days to come that pain will bring about an action, and that action will move me and those I love a little closer to where God wants us to be.

Yes, there are times when I feel overwhelmed, there are times when I am just plain tired, and there are times when I am sure I can't take another step, but He is with me. When moving forward seems impossible, He is there to carry me and I can rest by putting my trust in Him.

  1. I don't know what you are going through, but I can relate! When Larry had his stroke, my whole life changed (now HE is my life), but I knew that God had a plan, and HE has me exactly where I'm suppose to be! Trust in God, give Him control, and you will see the blessings that He will bestow upon you! Everything happens for a reason...I'm praying for you! Pam <3

  2. Don't need details, just know that I feel your pain, and will spend time praying that the Lord will reveal all you need to know, and how to move forward in His will.

Love you, and thanks for all your faithful comments on my blog.

  4. Yes, He does want to shape us and mold us and make us more like Him everyday. There must be suffering to attain glory, we have so much of our will to surrender, we are so proud and right by nature. It is encouraging that you are resigned to let God's will be done in your life, it will bring you peace. Hugs to you, Martha.

  5. I love you, Marty. I know this isn't easy, it's not easy for me either. (I'm pretty sure I know what you're talking about here) I find the whole thing to be quite emotional. God is with us. Big hugs!
I tried calling you yesterday and couldn't get through. At 1st I thought your modem finally went, but I still see you here so I'm a little confused.
