Actually, Ben found these (there were others) hiding inder an old log under the barn. I haven't gone on my "slug hunt" yet. But I did buy some flashlights.
Well you just brought back a memory I've been trying to forget...stepping on one of those on my front porch barefooted, getting the paper!!!! Yuck! and I mean YUCK!!!
My mom had those in Virginia. I have also stepped on one barefooted. It kind of leaves a gummy residue on the bottom of your foot, if I remember right. I have never seen one so big though, It's really ugly, at first I thought it was a snake.
I stepped on one in my socks once and couldn't get the gummy residue out. After it came out of the wash, it was very stiff in a slug shape on the bottem. I ended up throwing it out. Yuck!
I second that Eeeeeeeww!
ReplyDeleteWell, Nasty things!! They eat garden goodies and flowers and need to be exterminated. So, How did ya do it?
ReplyDeleteYou found him. Send'em swimming in salty water!

ReplyDeleteGmj, they're imprisoned at the moment.
Eeeeew IS about the only word for that!
ReplyDeleteWe used to find those when I worked at Burnap's. They were pretty gross, but cool at the same time because they were so huge.
