The Buffalo Zoo still has zebras. They also have giraffes but we didn't see any tigers or lions. Guess we'll have to hit Seneca Park in Rochester to find those. I know The zoo in Syracuse has some cool animals too but it seems there is a lot of walking required and the animals are often hiding. (I should have bought that zoo membership!)

It is amazing to me the difference in the coloration of animals. How come humans don't have such pretty "coats"? Okay, so was it God give us brains and animals fancy coats? Anyway, cool pictures.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I get just a tad drifty, sorry :o)
There are lots of differences in coloration between humans!
ReplyDeleteyes Ms. P., you are right. I just haven't seen any with stripes or squares. Isn't the beauty of being human on the inside anyway?
ReplyDeleteI love the zebras and giraffes, two animals that I don't recall ever seeing in Syracuse. The walk in Syracuse isn't too bad, but the animals can be hard or impossible to spot sometimes. Thanks for the pictures and memories they recall.
ReplyDeleteMartha--Zoos are great for some fun pictures. You have some good ones.
ReplyDeletegmjlm2--I'm seeing some wild images in my mind! Hmmm..would I look better in stripes or with squares? Maybe polka-dots! : )
I just caught up on your last few days, Martha. Those were all great pictures of the zoo animals. And I wish i could sample a piece of your rhubarb pie.
ReplyDeleteI'm still bummed about the cats...
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should go on a safari...
ReplyDeleteYou take great photos Martha! If you have have the time, the kids would love the Toronto zoo. It's been years but they had rhinos, hippos, and other animals we don't typically see in the NY zoos.
ReplyDeleteI am always excited to see giraffes. I saw my first one in Texas on an animal park safari that my brother and his family took me too. I had never seen a giraffe and must have made a big deal out of it because the kids have been sending me giraffe stuff ever since!
Toronto also has an animal park safari... Liz went and has pictures to prove it. The monkeys were climbing all over their car! I thought it sounded like lots of fun.
