Before Christmas is too far behind us, a little Christmas carol. (Really I just don't want to wait another whole year to post this.) The little Christmas Tea at my brother's residence was without Christmas carols this year. Anyone know of a good way to learn harmonica? It's always been a dream of mine.
Whenever I visit my brother, I find myself studying his expression and wondering what he is really thinking...

so are ya musical or not? suck and blow.. I think that is how it's done, :o)
ReplyDeleteDoes it work to leave a message about how much expressions mean to me. More than words, a persons expressions, and eyes speak to me.
ReplyDeleteI often wonder what he's thinking too, Martha. I pick on him some when we go for our visit, to see if I can rile him. Sometimes he gives a reaction, but most often he doesn't. This past week I tried to get him to tell me if he wanted a frostie or an ice cream bar of some sort, but he mumbled so softly that I couldn't hear him. I guess maybe he wanted the frostie because when I stopped for the ice cream bar, he got into my glove compartment to see what he could wreck. Luckily there wasn't too much in there. Next time I'll get him a frostie. :)
ReplyDeleteOH, I was sad it was only one minutes long! He reminds me quite a lot of my Alex. :) Except Alex would have wanted fries from Wendy's...no frosties or icecream bars. And he's been known to wreck something when he's aggravated! LOL!
ReplyDeleteJudi, simply sucking in and out does nothing but make noise. I want to play songs.
ReplyDeleteKim, my brother's eyes are always talking, and yes, the eyes say volumes.
Rachel, don't mess with a good routine. :)
Betsy, years ago Tim used to get frustrated and rip his trousers from stem to stern. He was also known to get sick of being left with nothing to do other than watch television. After he tipped over and broke a few, they finally got the message.
I was on my way to get him a frostie and Mom wanted me to "just get him an ice cream bar like your father used to"...so I asked Tim what he preferred. When I couldn't understand him Mom said that she didn't think he really cared. She's always encouraging me to just look for an ice cream bar, like she wants it to be like when Dad was here. I told her from now on he's getting a frostie because I refuse to leave him in my car.
ReplyDeleteSometimes we need to have new traditions...frosties are the best anyway.
ReplyDeleteI remember thinking how terrible the residents sounded when they sang...but beautiful at the same time.
