C is for Cry

C is for Cry.

Babies cry. They cry a lot. That is how they communicate.

Little people cry too, especially when they want something.

Sometimes even big people cry.

I have a headache and would like to cry, but I'm afraid that would only make matters worse. It would probably be better if I just went to bed instead.

  1. I hope your headache gets better. Crying is an important way babies have of communicating. Good post for C day. Carver, ABC Wed. Team

    1. He wanted his present (it came in the mail) and was told he had to wait until his birthday... She caved and let him open it. (It's my great nephew. Isn't he adorable?)

    1. Sometimes I feel downright weepy without a reason at all. Sometimes when my eyes are already swollen and achy, I feel like I may as well do it since I look like I have already.

  4. My daughter is crying right now because of a perceived wrong perpetrated by her mother. So THIS time, I'm the good guy. Next time, it'll be the other way around.

  5. I sure hope your headache gets better and there's no one around you who's crying - that would just make things worse!

  7. Those days when you feel weepy for no reason you can think of... those are often some of the hardest, don't you think?

Something I admire about young children is how utterly, visibly honest they are with their feelings, and that their feelings and faces can change so unexpectedly. I once watched a little boy where the quickest way to get him to stop crying was to face him towards a mirror. He stopped crying as soon as he saw his reflection and smiled brilliantly at himself- tears still streaming down his face. Ah, to be comforted so joyously and so quickly!
