A Baby Update

James and I were able to make another visit to the hospital this evening along with Hannah. I was pleased to see little Jacob sleeping peacefully, no longer making that sad singing sound that signals distress in breathing.
He has been diagnosed with meningitis from a Strep B infection and will be hospitalized for at least ten days, possibly much longer. It goes without saying that he is very sick, but we are surrounded with the prayers of friends, family, loved ones, and strangers, and God is working in our hearts and lives.

  1. Dear Friend I am so sorry for the troubles with your new little guy but we know God is in this and right there with you. I pray you all feel him close to you . I know many prayers are with you all. Hugs to you Martha and and extra squeeze too. I pray this brings your family closer.
    God Bless you sending Prayers

  5. When I saw him Tuesday night his breathing seemed good, but he didn't seem to like my touch, he wimpered a little, so I decided to keep my hands off.:(

  6. Well, poop. That is not the news I wanted to hear.
Got a new prayer book, I had a feeling I needed something more formal. I mean I talk to God.. a lot.
But THIS needs more than "please help heal Fred and his family".
    love you and yours.
