My house is slightly out of order. It's not broken or anything, just needs to be straightened up a bit. There are toys on the floor, dish
es in the sink, and pillows and blankets on the couch. I should probably run the vacuum cleaner and start some dinner too. It looks like I did little aside from rearranging a few pieces of furniture, but really I was busy. And I liked it.
Emma came to play and so did Lucas and Simon. I spent quite a bit of time pushing Lucas in the swing. The higher he went the more he liked it! Although the photo is of Bethany, I pulled small children in the wagon too. Down the driveway one way, across the front of the yard, and up the other end of the driveway. Sure beats a gym membership!
Josh decided to stay, eat lunch, and play while his mommy took Ben to his math class in Sodus. I fed everyone peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, applesauce, and grapes for lunch, and while Lucas unsuccessfully attempted to take a nap, Simon drank his bottle. James worked in the shop, I chased children, and maybe I actually got a workout for once. I'd like to think so.
Yes, it was a good day for me and I think Emma liked having the boys around to play with too even if she didn't get much of a turn on the swing.
Merry Christmas!

I was busy again today too. I was with Mom from 11:45am until about 5:00pm. Michael complained when I got home that I haven't been home much and have to work tomorrow. I do feel a little guilty about that, but feel honored to help out Mom. I told Michael that I will be here more next week. Hopefully he remembers all the times I've been here for him too. Sometimes I wish I could be in 2 places at once.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures, and a lovey day it seems. Who cares if the dishes don't get done immediately.
ReplyDeleteWith Nick in the hospital for a couple days, I had Jon, so we played more than we worked. The park, Scatagories, made M&M cookies, some cartoons, it was one on one without his brother here. I think he like it.
Nick is doing good. Thanks for your prayers.
I love you, Rachel. One day Michael will look back and be grateful.
ReplyDeleteWanda, you are so welcome. I'm glad to know Nick is doing okay, and isn't God good to have you available for Jon? What a blessing!
Sounds like all is well in Tealville, I will email ya so you can fill in the blanks about your mom. Rachel, you are a good daughter.
