Dave had surgery on his arm late last night. He was able to go home wearing a cast from hand to near shoulder and a blue foam stabilizer. He has some nice pain medication and will likely be in a cast for quite some time. He is somewhat concerned about being out of work. Easy to say "God has everything worked out" but a little harder to live.
Tonight Dave and Leta went out to the Rochester Philharmonic to hear Handel's Messiah. We had given them tickets and I think he didn't want to disappoint her. They say you can't keep a good man down...
Slow down and enjoy your surroundings.

ReplyDeleteOh I'm glad the surgery went well, and he is home. I will also pray for a quick recovery. You are so right...saying it and living it are two different stories. I guess that where that "Faith" thing has to kick in...! Love ya!

ReplyDeleteLol, "ya can't keep a good man down!" I agree, my family has a running joke about duck tape and
ReplyDeleteW-D 40, if you hurt that is what you use to fix it. My Dad, the mechanic, was notorious for using W-D 40 on every thing, even cuts!
Please give my love and a "get well soon with no side effects" message to Dave for me. Thats tough, I can't imagine the pain he must have gone through those seconds and minutes and hours after the accident.
ReplyDeleteI wish him well, speedy recovery, with no excess problems. Love to all
I can understand his worry about being out of work but things will work out. I wish him a speedy recovery!

ReplyDeletePoor Man!
I hope he is not in too much pain and he could enjoy the show last night.
Ok, Anonymous. I'm going to have to take a guess as to who you are... no... so I'm guessing maybe Lori?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update, Martha. I was praying for him and his work situation last night. Good for you, Dave, for taking your wife out even when you are in pain. That is a GOOD guy!
ReplyDeleteWill pray for Dave and a speedy recovery.
