A Prayer Request

My son Dave had an accident today, not a car accident but one that has left him severely wounded none the less. He was doing a painting job and his ladder slipped. He fell and broke both the bones in his forearm and dislocated his elbow. Praise God he was not alone. I believe he had surgery on his arm this evening. I don't know too much more than that. Please keep him in your prayers, especially that he would heal well and quickly. And for his wife Leta too. Thanks.

The picture? Just before Dave's third birthday he was out playing with a friend. They were jumping off the slanted basement doors outside our apartment when Dave fell and broke his funny bone. Not funny. It hurt so bad he asked me to call the police. Today he wanted an ambulance.

  1. Oh! Prayers are happening. Don't ya wish you could kiss the boo-boo like when they were little and it would be all better?

  4. Oh no! I will pray for his speedy recovery too. That is the second serious ladder accident I have heard of this month.

  5. Will pray for Dave and Leta.
(Could have been my brother too. Apparently he had an icy "ride" to the ground involving a tree branch and a ladder this week--but he's okay.)

  6. Oh, poor Dave...and this time of year too. So Sorry, will be praying. Our son Myk (now 41) had a broken elbow, skull fracture (fell out of a tree) and numerous accidents as a kid. Then just few months ago, he was acting like a kid with his boys, and really hurt his ankle doing a skateboard trick!

Love and Hugs to you all.
