Cold Winds Blowing

It was a beautiful sunny day with a bitter cold wind. We left earlier than usual this morning to run our regular Saturday errands. We cleaned at church, did our shopping, and returned home by 12:30 pm. Not too bad since we usually don't get home until late afternoon.

Hannah bought herself a pair of snowpants while we were out and she and Ben took the opportunity to go sledding for an hour this afternoon. The wind provided some good encouragement to head home early for a cup of hot chocolate. (I don't know the dog. He was there with someone else.)

The sledding hill was pretty much empty when we came back to get the kids. I think the wind was too much for everybody. Tomorrow I plan on staying in (after church) and sitting by the fire.

  1. That hill actually looks safe and fun to me. It's not too long and you have a nice berm at the bottom to stop you. I approve! :o)

  2. As long as there aren't too many cars parked in the parking lot below, it's pretty safe. The good news is, if you knock a tooth out on somebody's bumper, the dentist is right inside the building. :)

  3. There was a kid who almost killed himself there. There's a big mound of snow at the bottom of the hill from where they plowed the parking lot,and this kid went down on a tube, and instead of stopping,he flew over the mound, into the air, and landed on his head in the parking lot.
