A Dark Afternoon

It is a rather dark afternoon. The snow is falling softly and sticking to the trees. It's not too cold today but tomorrow the temperatures will start falling and it will turn bitterly cold again. I had the boys bring up several loads of wood from down under the barn (they weren't thrilled) so that we hopefully won't need to drag any when it gets down near zero.

  2. I had a patient from Florida in my chair today, and she said she doesn't know how we live like this. She was talking about the weather and she was laughing when she said it, but she was serious. She just came here to attend Medical School.

  3. I don't think it's that bad. Yeah it's cold...but so what? That was a smart idea to bring in more wood. I thought it felt rather balmy today compared to the other days.

  4. I'll bring it back later, Shelly.

Sometimes I don't mind winter at all and other times I wonder what in the world I'm doing here!

  6. It has been cold here - for Southern Oregon, that is - in the 20's overnight for over a week. But clear blue skies during the day and it is beautiful in the 50's. Sorry, guys. I can't even imagine what below zero weather is like. I don't think I've ever experienced it.
