Today's Walk

Late this morning we took a leisurely walk back in the orchard. Beth and Rachel came too. We decided to walk first and then eat lunch. Good thing because it started to rain as soon as we got back!

There's a lot of activity out there right now, picking, sorting, hauling, etc. Don't know if the guys appreciate us traipsing through or not but we did stay out of the way as best we could.

  1. I like the blonde picture... Four blondes in a row, row! Four blo-ondes in a row! Did they laugh no,no. Did they cry no, no. Four blo-ondes in a row.

  2. Do you own the orchard or does it belong to a neighbor?

  3. The orchard actually belongs to someone else but we love to walk there. We have a few apple trees on our property and arow row or two that back up to the orchard. They are Greenings and the migrant workers pick them. Being able to enjoy the apple trees and seeing the activity is a blessing in itself.

  5. I grew up in an orchard growing area as well. We had orchards behind our house, and across the street both directions. Parkdale, Oregon in the Hood River valley. They grow apples and pears and these days people have branched out into cherries, lavendar, berries, etc. I think it is the most beautiful place on earth! Very fond memories. We moved away when I was 11, but we still have friends that we visit from time to time.
