Friday, Friday

It's Friday again, already. Kind of hard to believe, isn't it?

It was an exhausting week and I am ready for a few days off, but off of what I am not sure. :)

Mom's nose has stopped bleeding. This is because the doctor took her off her blood thinner after our Tuesday afternoon appointment. I'm not sure exactly what it all means, but for now it means her nose isn't making a nuisance of itself. Tthat was the purpose so I suppose it has been successful. Now if only I could get her to cut off her long and scary fingernails...

Some small and wild (but beautiful) children showed up for a while on Wednes- day morning. They were under the care of their beautiful (but not equally wild) Aunt Hannah. I managed to catch a child or two for a quick hug. My little granddaughter thinks Hannah and I are both named "Hannie" and calls us both such. Simon calls me "Hey," and Lucas is old enough to just call me Grandma. They don't slow down for long so one has to catch a hug or kiss on the run.

Tonight Rocky's mom and dad had their Chili Cook-off. I opted not to go after all. It's rainy and I am tired. We ordered Chinese instead and are staying in to watch "Great Expectations".

  1. I'm glad to hear that your mom's nose bleeds have stopped. What a nuisance for your both. Was the cautery very painful? that is a procedure that I would dread as it sounds rather unpleasant, indeed. Do you remember why she was on the blood thinner for in the first place?

    1. I'm not exactly sure. She has both heart issues and lung issues. She used to say her blood was "too thick", but of course they were "thinning" it...

The cautery didn't appear painful. She had the silver nitrate both times. It just made her sneeze.
