Cherry Blossoms

The orchards are buzzing with sprayers. They remind me a bit of airplane engines and make me feel a little bit like going to sleep. It is the constant (usually) far off hum, a sleepy monotonous sound, that wants to lull me to sleep.
The trees believe that spring has arrived. I sure hope they're right! I'm feeling like it's time to plant my vegetables but don't quite trust the night time temperatures. They're still good for snuggling up under a warm blanket or sipping hot coffee, but I am looking forward to ice cream cones and lemonade instead.

  1. I want to plant my cold weather plants, but cannot until the garden gets tilled under.

  2. That reminds me so much of our almond orchards in Hughson.
