It was another busy day. There were children to drop off at preschool and appointments to be kept. I never even thought of grabbing my camera to document the crazy weather, but I can assure you, it really did snow here this morning (talk about the unexpected...). It was laying like a thin blanket on the roofs of houses early this morning and falling furiously as I drove back to town. I was pleased to see that someone out there had the common sense to take some photos. I was also pleased to see blue skies and sunshine when we came out of preschool to go home.
This is a crazy forecast if you ask me. Shall I get my summer clothes out or will I need my winter sweaters again next week?
Slow down and enjoy your surroundings.

Oh my goodness....snow??
ReplyDeleteWe had fog....but then I guess that wouldn't pass the test...
I guess we're the only ones who almost didn't even see it in the air. We did have some very tiny and sparse flakes for a couple of minutes, but that's it, and nothing on the ground. I'm so glad to live in the tropics. :)
ReplyDeleteThere was snow from Scottsville to Fulton on Facebook. You were probably in the shower when it was really snowing.
ReplyDeleteI didn't shower until 1:00pm because I worked out 1st. I was sitting right in front of the big family room window, and Dave was next to me. We honestly saw no snow at all until 9:00ish and the flakes were so tiny and very nonthreatening. The wind was a big problem for me in the middle of the night and I didn't see 1 complaint about it from anyone on facebook. It was so windy here that Steven and I woke up around 4:30am and couldn't get back to sleep. I could hear one of our chairs being pushed along the deck and in my sleepy state I kept thinking, "What if the roof blows off our house?"
ReplyDeleteWe had snow off and on for most of the morning. It wasn't like a blizzard or anything but there was no mistaking it for rain. I heard the wind, but that doesn't typically keep me awake. It just sounded cold.
