3X's Thursday

It's been a while since we played 3X's Thursday. Since today is Thursday and I like a good game, I thought we could play... :0)

1. What is your perfect pizza?
2. Would you rather hike or bike?
3. Camp in an RV or sleep in a tent?

  1. I'll answer first because I'm already here.

    1. First off, my favorite daughter in law Michele makes the very best pizza. It doesn't get more perfect than the Moroccan Pizza she cooked up for us back in May (although I think most pizzas are practically perfect).

    2. I would prefer to prefer biking, but in all honesty, I like hiking best. I just don't get to do enough of it and by the time spring gets here I will be totally out of shape and need to start all over by walking around North Ponds Park several hundred times. Every circuit equals one mile.

    3. Camp in an RV? That sounds like an oxymoron to me. More like "sleep in an RV" and "camp in a tent". If you are going to camp, you may as well camp and sleep in a tent. Sleeping in an RV does not, in my opinion, count as camping, although it does make both sleeping, packing, and setting up easier. (And that is my long way of not answering the question.)

    1. To be honest, I like walls around me now and a cushy mattress. I suppose that means I prefer something a little more substantial than a tent.

  2. 1. Honestly depends on where it comes from. General chain pizza places I will get black olives and mushrooms, because more toppings cost more. In a place where I can get unlimited toppings I will get sausage, black olives, mushrooms, pineapple, chopped tomatoes...pretty much anything but spicy stuff. In a really fancy pizza place I get margarita pizza because mmmm. I want to try Michele's pizza!!!

    2. I love to hike and truly miss it. No place to hike here in the flat lands. Biking around here is dangerous with all the idiots on the road. Maybe if we lived someplace more bike friendly I would do it more.

    3. In the old days I would have said tent (when I was a kid and camped in the mountains), but now I'm spoiled and like comfort...and a bathroom. Plus, I'm such a light sleeper that the sound of bugs at night drives me crazy!

    1. I'll take a cottage too so long as the bed has a comfy, cozy mattress.

  4. I have a severe gluten allergy so wherever I know there is a GOOD GF crust........hard to find, and I just like cheese, some ham, and fresh tomato

    Hiking for sure

And DEFINITELY RV. Too many times we were rained out in a tent with small children. No........I won't be doing that again.

    Good questions..........

    1. Quite honestly, I never sleep very well in a tent. I'd rather have a popup camper... or a gypsy wagon like my friend Deborah suggested.

  6. 1. I love green peppers or banana peppers, black olives, onions, mushrooms
I also like bacon/chicken/ranch pizza sometimes...

    2. I think I would rather hike. Then I could stop and take pictures easier and get up close to things. Plus it's great exercise.

    3. I have never slept in an RV, but the older I get, the more appealing it sounds over a tent. I used to love roughing it, but now it seems like a lot of work, and I need all the energy I can muster for the other pleasures of camping... like hiking. Can we rent a rustic cabin with a bunch of friends please? :)

    1. I need a hiking partner, but I'm afraid you'd probably leave me gasping for breath on some deserted hillside. (I spelled that "desserted"... Ha ha ha! Oh the images conjured up.)

    2. I would never leave you gasping for breath...unless I saw a desserted hillside. ;)

2.bike. I used to bike all the time. Then we gave the bikes to the grandkids.
    3. RV, Motel, Hotel, Bed and Breakfast....I did all my camping as a kid...got enough tents and hard cots or rockly ground for a lifetime. I'll take the soft bed...HaHa

    1. The was a place in Seaside, Florida called Bruno's. They made fantastic pizza, but it's kind of far to travel.;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;cx

Next time we go camping I will need to bring something to soften up those rock hard campground mattresses.

  8. 1. I had some great pizza at a place near the 12 corners in Brighton. It had artichokes, spinach, and I'm not sure what else on it. I tried to make some...but it just wasn't the same.

    2. Hike

    3. I used to insist that I liked tents....however, I think it is RVs now. The cottages and log cabins sound great.

    1. I'm pretty sure there are a ton of perfect pizzas out there. Artichoke and spinach sound good right now.
I loved our mountain hike. Almost dies on the way up, but I loved it.
I'm not a tent fan anymore, not if I actually want to sleep. They should make tent floors cushy, then maybe I'd take one.

    2. I bet you went to Ken's Pizza Corner. (I googled and they have a fine sounding Spinach and Artichoke Pizza.)

    4. I think it must have been Ken's. I was at Brighton HS when I ate it. I was subbing and the aides ordered pizza because it was someone's birthday. They chose the pizza and it was the best!
