The Barn Collective

I'm starting at home. We have a collection of barns and I have a collection of photos. We'll start with Barn 3.

Once upon a time this was an apple farm. Two of our barns have cinder block frames and The Cabinet Maker uses them for his shops. Barn 3, directly behind the house, is where we keep things like lawn tractors, bicycles, and all things garden-like. It has a shed roof behind and down underneath. Sometimes I dream about having some goats or chickens back there...

    1. Thank you. This one is the prettiest, although she could use a good coat of paint.

    1. The fire is quite a distance from the barn and we don't burn anything when the wind is blowing too much. Having the place burn down would be tragic. It is a beautiful place to live. We are blessed.

    1. Thank you, Michelle. It was probably from one of my mornings at the bus stop with my friend Emma. One of the perks of having to go outside early each morning.

  5. Such beautiful photos Martha. I just LOVE old barns too. They are all so different........and have personalities I think. Looking forward to seeing all the others too.

    1. Yes, Marilyn, they seem to have personalities and I love the differences. I hope our other buildings will shine like this one. Concrete blocks aren't quite so glittery but I'll try.

  6. I love your barn and it is especially nice that a cabinet maker is using it. We use ours for storage and a place to put my car when the weather is rainy, icy cold, and yucky. You are taking such good care of it. We have a green roof too. I love them.
