D is for downpour, because it rained cats and dogs today.
The water came down in buckets, and my girls had gone to Seabreeze with their cousins. The water park section of Seabreeze is meant to be soggy, but the amusement park rides? Not so much. As the heavens opened and more rain poured down, I feared the girls must be drenched and disappointed. I should not have feared. As the crowds were dispersed, management dispensed rain checks. The girls will be delighted to return another day!

Bonus!!!
ReplyDeleteWe went today. The first 2 1/2 hrs were gorgeous and there were NO lines. We could hardly believe our luck, until it started to rain at 2:30pm. Then it stopped and seemed like it might clear, but poured again. When all the rain was done we were freezing because the temp had dropped 10 degrees...brrr! Oh well, we rode tons of rides and had gone down the waterslides all in the first 2 1/2 hrs, so it wasn't a total wash.
ReplyDeleteWhat is a downpour to a day of fun for kids...
ReplyDeletewe were away for a fortnight, and when it rained as we traveled, it was treacherous!
