On Getting A Job

I googled "middle age jobs" and came up with "Medieval Careers..." ha ha! I think I'll become a juggler. I think I have some experience with that. *sigh*

Then again, maybe I just need a fresh vase of "flowers."

  1. I think you are already a juggler....handling many many plates.

I got two potted poinsettias yesterday...they made me happy.

    Company coming today....I'm ready!

    1. I am not sure what to do with myself on these "all alone" kind of days. I tried dusting but there it comes back faster than I can clean it up. I'm pretty sure I could dust for the next ten years and it would still be there

(I meant the kid kind of "flowers.")

  2. Good luck on the job search if you're really looking for one. I gave up. Company forced me to retire a few years back at 59! For two solid years I looked for a job. Never even got called for an interview. It was a blessing in disguise, so don't push it too hard if you don't have to.

    1. I babysat for years, had my mom living with me for 3 1/2 years (while babysitting), and in the meantime my own children have grown up. I hardly know what to do.

    2. I hope they eat them all up and I don't get to bring any back home.

  4. I have no doubt you can juggle well, just like any mom! But what I want to know is, can your tail fan your fanny WHILE you juggle like the Cat in the Hat? lol....

  5. It is an interesting time of life. I haven't run out of small children yet, although when they were all in school I pondered a career. Now that some of them are homeschooled, I feel like I have a purpose again during the day. Martha, you have so much talent, you could write a book or paint or create little things....fairy houses or miniatures...you are also such a people person, I can see you as a real estate person, or tour guide:)

    1. I think, Della, there is a part of me that is scared to death to get an outside the house job, but I do think I'd do well with some sort of people job.
