It escaped when I went into the other room for a few minutes. I looked under the love seat and down in the cushions, but it wasn't hiding there. My cats did not looked suspicious, but the missing mouse was nowhere to be found. I did the best I could and used the laptop touchpad instead. I tried to write a blog, but every once in a while my screen would suddenly zoom closer. I had no idea how it was happening or what I was doing to cause it. By the time I gave up and closed the computer, all I could see was one corner of my blog with giant sized letters...
It was Thursday night anyway, so I packed my unfinished afghan into a plastic bag, put on my coat, and headed over to Brenda's house. (That's where we have our Thursday night womens' gathering.)
After my return home several hours later and another check about the living room and down in the cushions of the aforementioned love seat, I lay down flat on my belly on the floor between the couch and the coffee table and looked under the couch. Lo and behold, there it was! That naughty mouse! I am happy to report he has been much better behaved this morning, and my blog has been returned to normal size.

Don't you just hate it when that little creature disappears? HA!! And I absolutely LOVE your picture here... a complete story all on it's own.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of nice to hunker down on the couch sometimes, especially when coffee is involved.

HaHa. I'm loving my new computer, and tried the first few days to learn to NOT use the mouse..but I had the same problem... I need my mouse... So be it...
ReplyDeleteI will give it a go when absolutely necessary, but I'm never sure if the frustration is worth it. ha ha!

I don't have a mouse! Hate them! Once you get used to the touch pad, I think it's wonderful and faster. It works better with my arthritis, too...holding that mouse caused my wrist to ache and my hand to be cold in the winter.
ReplyDeleteYour mouse seems special, though...it has legs! haha.
I'm too old of a dog to learn new tricks.

That's cute! We had a mouse running around the living room, and 4 cats didn't seem to be able to catch it!
ReplyDeleteWe've misplaced gerbils in the past, but most of the mice that find their way inside don't live too long.
