I almost didn't get to see my brother this week, but Rachel's evening plans for tonight got cancelled and then Emily's father called to say she wouldn't be coming off the bus. I was in the parking lot at Walmart when I realized that maybe Rachel and I could visit our brother together this week after all. I took out my trusty cell phone and called her to see if it would work.
We were blessed this afternoon to find our brother smiling and in good spirits. He clicked his tongue at us and the workers. (He's kind of a flirt, you know.)
Each and every visit to Tim comes with a ride down country roads and a stop at Wendy's for a Frosty, and each and every visit Tim opens and checks out Rachel's empty glove box. (She's made sure it's empty since the time he took out her car owner's manual and he ripped it in half...) Today I hid a candy cane in there. He couldn't get out of the car until he'd gotten the wrapper off and crunched it down.
A Christmas Angel and a Prayer.

Love the glove compartment surprise.
ReplyDeleteI love these pictures. I DO feel a bit jealous that you get to do this almost every other week or so. But then...I have to think about how glad I am that you two are going to see him regularly. Thank you.
