Nasty Weather Forecast

(Rochester, N.Y.) - Monday night, expect rain and snow mixed. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for all of western New York from 5 AM Tuesday morning through noon Wednesday. A half inch of accumulation is possible, with up to 3" south of Rochester. Sleet and freezing rain develop by Tuesday evening. The mix of sleet and rain could change to rain late in the day, well south of Rochester. Ice accumulation may exceed 1/2".

If we're not here tomorrow, you'll know why.

  1. Shucks! I just happen to be in San Jose, California this week for training, and shall miss the storm.

Oh well... I guess I'll endure the sunshine and 70 degrees. [SIGH]

  4. Why wouldn't we be here? I don't get that... Maybe you're thinking another ice storm, no power, etc. etc?

Bethany, yes, I was thinking of downed limbs and powerlines... so far, so good. It's all well south of here at the moment.

  8. Of course I'm not really ready for anything. I am out of groceries and my van is in the garage. We do, however, have wood stacked up by the house and justincase our electric should go out, the freezer is virtually empty. No rotten food for us!
