Our glass encased world has shattered. Tree branches glistened in the sunlight this morning making the world appear as if it were made of glass. Along with the sunshine came temperatures high enough to melt the ice. It fell from the trees in great chunks leaving piles of "glass" on the ground beneath.
A headache couldn't keep me from going outside to capture a few photos. I thought maybe the cool, fresh air would help clear my head. Much of snow and ice is now gone and it is once again looking somewhat spring-like. We are in that yo-yo time of year when we could wake up to either winter or spring and every day is a new surprise. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday all call for snow, but it can't stick around for long. It never does in March.

Really, that is Yo-Yo time!!
ReplyDeleteOur forest looked great, too, with the ice in the sun, and then it all fell onto the snow, it looked really different and interesting.

ReplyDeleteThere's ice in the bucket, dear Lizza, dear Lizza.... :)
ReplyDeleteYou've found great subjects and illustrated them beautifully. Although they are perfect winter shots, yes, I think all of us are ready for spring. Come the heat of summer, it will be nice to look at the bucket frozen in ice. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the bucket picture. Everything does look so cool with the ice on it. Just not good for driving!
ReplyDeleteWow, great pics! Hope your headache is better today.
