Christmas 1983



Christmas Day 1983. We were at Mom and Dad's house with our two little boys. Jim was two and David just 2 months. James and I were both 19.

    okay this is slightly confusing, is this you and your hub? and the two little boys you were talking about are yours? you were 19 in this pick and the two boys were two, so you got married at 17?

    Yes. We got married when we were 17 (it's been 25 yrs. now) and the two little boys were ours. Jim was two years old and David was two months. Two years later we had Bethany.

    Long story, but God is good. He takes difficult situations and makes them beautiful.

    Yep. God sure is good. Speaking of Him making good situations out of bad...an ex-convict preached at our church today. (Jack Hagar from FLM)

    1983. It's hard to believe.....that Mom and Dad had such poor taste in wallpaper!

    In defense of the wallpaper, it was only on one wall. But do you remember the matching curtains? Mom made them and was quite pleased with the results. Most likely it was in style when they put it up. It's amazing how strangely outdated things can look in just a few short years.

    That is so sweet you guys made it after being so young getting married. My wife and I were young too, I was 18 and she was 19 when we got married. We have two boys 16 and 18. Time does fly! We got hitched in 1993 and it’s now 2018!!
