Go to the Ant, Thou Sluggard...

There are four [things which] are little on the earth, But they [are] exceedingly wise:

and this is one...

The ants [are] a people not strong, Yet they prepare their food in the summer; (Proverbs 30:24-25)

I'm not too sure what they were doing, but they were all involved. There were so many ants that it looked like someone had spilled coffee grounds on the rock walkway.

Summer is upon us and it is time to work. I wonder what we shall accomplish?

  1. Years and years ago I watch a movie about killer ants from Africa...They came across the land like a river and covered this house.... Charlton Heston was in it, and from that time one I get the willies when I see a lot of ants.

  2. We have a couple of huge ant hills along our driveway. They are amazing and always so hard at work. And they also make me feel kinda itchy! ha.

  3. These are not the killer kind, Wanda. :) But, I do not think I would want to sit in the grass near their ant hill.

  4. Yes, Betsy, itchy. When I was a little girl I would sit and watch them, but back then I didn't mind if they crawled up my leg...

  5. Josh and I were just investigating what was going on in our driveway this morning. They have done a very good job excavating in between the gravel. It was fascinating actually.

  6. I find it amazing that God actually tells us to "go watch the ants." I don't suppose there are too many people doing that these days.
