The Last Leg

Snow is a funny thing, especially along the shore of a Great Lake. One minute it's stormy and the next it's clear and sunny. (These pictures were taken just minutes apart.) I've not got cabin fever quite yet. Several years back I set my mind to enjoy the winter months, from the comfort of my living room, of course. Once in a great while I'll even purpose to enjoy it from the out of doors. Spring is right around the corner. Winter has another few weeks to wield it's strength and then the sun will gradually take over and spring will arrive. For now I'm savoring the snowflakes... Actually, today is a dripping icicle day. They're melting!

  1. "What a difference a day makes ..." In this case a minute or two. Two great shots. Sun today, rain coming Thursday.

  2. Most of our snow melted today! It's so much warmer. But I'm not getting too excited yet...it is mid February afterall! Those pictures are just lovely!

  3. The worst blizzards hit between now and mid March. It's raining right now, but I'm not excited yet either. I know what's possible.

  4. "Blizzard" is not one of my favorite words, especially with a huge trip across the country planned for next week. Right now it is a balmy 46, tonight it is going down to nine, with a high of twenty tomorrow...but spring WILL come, and we will LOVE it.
