Walk On

James and I went for an orchard walk last night. We walked a little faster and a little farther than we usually do. Both of us need to get more exercise and walking in the evenings is a great way to spend quality time together and get our blood pumping too. I went to bed last night with one very sore and achy leg, but it felt good too. I know if we keep on walking we will both feel better in the long run. Its kind of like having a free gym membership.

The orchards are in full blossom now. We must have passed three or four stacks of bee hives as we went along. It was a bit on the chilly side so the bees weren't very active. I'm assuming they have been out doing their work during the warmer daytime hours. Soon the boxes will go back home with the bee keepers and the tractors will be roaming the trees again. Lately they have been out spraying in the dead of night when the bees are safe in the hives. Some nights I drift off to sleep listening to the distant hum of the sprayers. Its much more soothing than a screaming red fox.

  1. Beautiful blossom, and good for you, Carl had his evaluation for a four wheel walker today, and it will be delivered the first part of next week. Maybe then we can get out walking more. :)

  2. What a beautiful place to go walking! We live on a country road, but there is no speed limit, and the road is curvy...it makes it tough to go walking. But it sure is pretty out right now with the lilacs and the pear tree blooming...

  3. I love all of your pictures, but I especially like the one here of the tractor path in the orchard. It's a story in and of itself - looks so full of possibility and beauty. Hope your allergies are being nicer to you. Happy Mother's Day!
