Stuck in the Middle

These are my middle children. As you can see it has had somewhat of an adverse effect on Bethany but I think she will eventually learn to cope. For years she hoped and prayed for a sister and in the meantime had to deal with two older brothers and three younger ones. It's been good for her really. All those brothers keep her on her toes.

Joe is really smack-dab in the middle. Two older brothers and an older sister, two younger brothers and a younger sister, and seven years on each end. (I'm not quite sure how we did that!)

And then there is Nathan... Somehow he seems to be faring a bit better than his sister, or maybe he's better at faking it. Maybe he has learned to "grin and bear it". Smile, Nathan, smile!

  5. Excellent planning on your part, Martha. You know, in Hebrew literature, often the most important thing is directly in the center. I can't think of the word for that style just now.
