Down for the Count

I stopped at my sister's house on my way to work yesterday. We walked through the neighborhood, and although my legs were achy, I was sure I'd feel better after the exercise. I didn't. The dull headache and achy muscles persisted throughout the day. I shrugged it off and went to a meeting on the way home. When it came time to eat, I wasn't hungry.

I don't get sick much, but I crawled into bed just before 9 pm last evening hoping the ibuprofen and Benadryl I'd taken would enable me to sleep. It helped, a little. It was a night of achy joints and muscles complete with an unsettled, but not volcanic, stomach. I tossed and turned for a good portion of the night and came downstairs with my pillow and favorite afghan this morning.

I don't plan on being down for long. I don't have time for that.

    1. You are funny, Rachel.
I lay in bed the other night and as my stomach threatened to churn,, I just kept saying over and over, "No, no, no, no, no."

    2. Do you remember Mom saying to "Just tell the devil to take it somewhere else"? Lol! She was funny sometimes. She told Dave that once and he told her he didn't pray to the devil, haha!

    3. I thought you would remember that, but then I thought you would remember the bacon dripping sandwiches her grandma used to eat too. :)
