Tuesday Treasures

A treasure from the mountains of Pennsylvania...

Not far from the little town of Franklin, Pennsylvania, above the Alleghany River is the old Joseph Sibley castle. The Cabinet Maker and I were there for an adult church retreat back in early October. Out on the grounds we found this rusty old road grader. How's that for a treasure?

  1. If you go south on County Road 15 through Short Tract there is a similar piece on the left at the highway department. This reminds me that we are just cogs in a wheel. Thanks Martha for sharing your rusty treasure this week...what's next?

    1. I am hoping for a trip to Short Tract soon. What's next? I don't really know. But I'll be back.

    1. Isn't it cool? The Cabinet Maker thought I should take pictures and so I did. Who knew they would end up on Tuesday's Treasures?

  3. Lots of these sorts of treasures this week. A neat find in the weeds.

  4. Oh, I so love these...I always look at those moving parts and think how easy it would have been to loose a finger, or hand.

    1. I laughed at you loving it and then thinking how easy it would be to lose a hand or finger. Yikes! My grandpa lost a finger in a piece of machinery. It was crushed. Sounds absolutely hideous and painful.
