Old barns fall down. One never knows when they will give up the ghost and collapse into a broken heap. This former beauty is on Ridge Road in Ontario, NY
Last time I drove by part of the roof had caved in and she was looking pretty rough.

Yes, I can see that it was indeed once a beauty.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!

I am curious as to her story. She's very close to the road. And sill beautiful in her own way.
DeleteLove the dome on the silo.
ReplyDeleteYes. I do too.

I've pasted this barn many times, but have never stopped to photograph it...better stop before it's too late.
ReplyDeleteYes, catch her now before she's gone. There is another barn down Fisher Rd, just past Shepherd whose middle has caved in. I'd like to take some photos there too but it's partially hidden by trees.
DeleteLovely Sunday Barns. If I evey get back into the passion of painting....I think I'll try some barns.
ReplyDeleteHugs dear Martha.
It's fun to paint barns. I think they're my favorite.
DeleteI love you, Wanda.
I bet this barn had an interesting life.
ReplyDeleteI think so too. We drove past her yesterday and she was hidden from sight by trees and bushes that have grown up along the front.
DeleteThis is a gorgeous lady....
ReplyDeleteMakes me wonder what her story is.
DeleteIt is still pretty in its own way. This is one I would love to be out beside with my sketch book in hand. Love the red. Maybe someone will miraculously buy the land and fix it up.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is. It's a perfectly wonderful little place.
