Snow Buddy Knows

I woke this morning to the sound of a snowplow going down the road. What a surprise to find a world of white when yesterday was wet and green. It was a great morning for sitting by the fire with a cup of hot coffee and a basket of laundry to fold. It was a good day for running the vacuum cleaner and putting things away. It was a wonderful day for an afternoon nap.
Ben and Hannah are off to a Progressive Dinner with a local church youth group and James is gone to the nursing home in Penfield. The house is quiet aside from the occasion groan or snore from a cat or dog and the crackling of the fire. Every once in a while I hear the wind pick up outside. The forecast calls for more snow and wind. It will be a good night to throw an extra blanket on the bed. On cold nights I am thankful for the bed warmer who sleeps just on the other side of me. When I get cold, I snuggle in a little closer to him.

  1. Your snow flakes falling look perfectly at home in these pictures. Hot coffee, fire, oh yeah, Now that I can see the fireplace again after the tree is out and the stockings are down etc. Sounds like a wonderful idea.

  2. Sounds like the perfect cozy day...and a lot like what we had here in Ohio.

I completely agree that a hubby in your bed beats any other bed warmer you can get! LOL!

  3. Does James let you cross the center line? Dave doesn't allow it because he says, "I need to be able to get away when I need to". He says I get too hot.

  4. According to Dave, yes. He has drawn an invisible line down the center of the bed that he forbids me to cross, only HE can cross it because he gets too hot from snuggling and says he needs "getaway room". Have you ever seen the "Everybody Loves Raymond" where she snuggles him so close at night and he keeps trying to move away (only to have her move closer). He eventually falls right out of bed onto the floor. It's pretty funny.
