Hannah is one brave girl. She and Sergio (who is also brave) agreed to keep Josh and Jake while Bethany and Adam are gone away this week. That's brave.
They also agreed to keep two little nephews next week while their mommy has a C-section. Leo and Tony are 6 and 4 years old. That's two weeks of bravery.
Yesterday Hannah called and told me she'd had a message from the pregnant mommy of Leo and Tony. She was in the hospital, possibly going into labor... Guess what? They now have 4 little boys for the week instead of two. I think they are really, really brave! And when the week is done they will probably be ready to inform us that they are NEVER having kids. ha ha!
Hannah can't fit more than 2 children into her little car, so I lent her my vehicle which has 4 back seats.
PS. It's the Naughties. :0)

Brave? Or crazy?
ReplyDeleteBrave first, crazy after dealing with four little boys for several days.

Better them than us. I honestly don't think I could handle 4 little boys for a whole week. Handling 9 kids (a mixture of girls and boys) for an hour and a half Sunday school class can be taxing.
ReplyDeleteIt does seem we lose our patience as we "mellow." Perhaps the mellowing is because we spend so little time surrounded by little people. At any rate, right now I'm missing little people because my "little people" are not small at all.

That is true. Y can quickly gain it back if need be. When I worked at DeWitt, I usually had about 21 kids to myself in the library at any given time. I got pretty good at it.
DeleteRules and routines...sprinkled with smiles and kindness helps a lot.

DeleteWhy don't I learn to proofread comments?
My own little people grew up and the people I care for now are little in mind but not in body size...
DeleteI think I still prefer the little little people.
I rarely proof read my comments in time either. I knew what you meant.
