My husband is pretty sure I do nothing all day except look at my computer. So today I went out and made a few new friends... Go, Snowman, Go!
The snow was only just packy enough to actually make a snowball and the cars were the perfect spot to "park" them. (haha!) I know Calvin (of Calvin and Hobbes) is pretty good at making crowds of snowmen, but this is the first time I've ever made more than a couple. It's ever so much more fun to make a bunch.
Once upon a time Martha went out into the deep, deep snow to make some friends....
My husband will think I'm completely off my rocker, but then again I think that's what he was hoping for yesterday when he asked what I did all day. Look, there he is out driving a yellow truck in the yard! I can tell it's him by the cap and mustache. (Isn't he handsome?)
Oh, and there's me in that spiffy new hat I crocheted! Oh wait! I can't be friends with myself... I must have given it away or something... Oh yes, she's just borrowing it for a few days.
This guy looks a little chilly. Maybe I should have found him a scarf or something. But then again, he is smiling even though it looks as if he may have rolled his car... I hope he has a license. Well, if he's happy, I'm happy, and he's looking pretty satisfied to me.
It's not forecast to get warm anytime soon. I suppose those guys will be out there hanging around for a while.I hope they don't freeze! Oh, wait...

Slow down and enjoy your surroundings.

Martha...I wish I could have been with you. You are having so much fun... I know James will be impressed.
ReplyDeleteThat would have been a lot more fun than cleaning house today.
I somehow doubt this is what he means when he asks me what I do all day...

Well...maybe I would have liked to build one of these.
ReplyDeleteI had already built them and come back inside by the time I asked if you wanted to build one. I never left home but I did have some fun in the snow while Hannah baked chocolate chip cookies. It was almost like being a kid again!

You are one wild and crazy girl!
ReplyDeleteCheers!

Once in a while I have a rare moment.
DeleteHaha!

What fun!
ReplyDeleteEven though I've never met James, I recognized "him" right away!
Oh, Joeks! You are funny. You have been around long enough to recognize any one of us, I think. I'm so glad you stopped by.

You have brightened up my day, and my kids think these are cool too! Maybe you could get a job making snowmen for people....they are really adorable. We have this area of snow stationed right over our house, like Winnie-The-Pooh and his rain cloud....btw: LOVE Calvin and Hobbes....
ReplyDeleteIf I can make you smile then it was worth the effort. (I'm smiling too, btw.) Next time it's snowman weather your kids will be setting up a parking lot of their own. Got any spare cars?
DeleteGood cure for "cabin fever."
ReplyDeleteI only wish I'd parked them a little closer to the house. I might have to relocate them... Very carefully.
