Inauguration Day

This day America makes history. Never in my life have I seen a President Elect crowned in such a manner. I fear for the future of this once great country.

Yet you have forsaken Me and served other gods. Therefore I will deliver you no more.
Judges 10:3

  1. I did note this as well...and it raised concerns of mine. I was moved by Rick Warren's prayer. I thought it was heartfelt and sincere and showed courage.
I was also moved by the elderly civil rights leader at the end (can't think of his name). I'm looking forward to the tanks being beaten into tractors (a reference to Isaiah 2:4)....but I don't think it will happen because of Mr. Obama.

  2. Amen, Martha.
Rick Warren said, "And may we never forget that one day all nations and all people will stand accountable before you."
The Rock I stand on is secure, but boy the winds are blowing all around us, huh. :(

  3. Hi Stacy, the winds are blowing but we are safe in the cleft of the rock.

  4. I would like to share in the optimism and hope that has all these people excited, but I am not feeling it. I did like Rick Warren's prayer.

  5. Martha, great observation. All we can do is take comfort in our one true King.

  6. I'm not sure what you mean. I had the totally opposite experience of feeling that God was completely and utterly glorified by the inauguration. It felt like someone with true integrity that does love Jesus is once again leading our country. Care to elaborate on why you felt the way you did? I'm not being critical, I really don't understand.

  7. I would have to completely agree with Miracle. I am very moved by and inspired with the direction that our country may be moving. I feel that God is definitely in control. Please explain...please know that I am not trying to cause conflict as I completely respect your opinion.

  8. Well said. I could not agree with you more.

  9. I am in complete agreement with you Martha.
I have not turned on the TV in a week because I can only see the "after".
As much as I want to be excited for our first black President, all I can think of is the abortion bill that he wants to pass. The socialism tendancies he has. I have nothing against this man. I wish so much I could be optimistic.
I have to disagree with Miracle.
Can a man truly love Jesus and also think the "Freedom of Choice Act" is okay? Is it Godly?
It makes ME question his faith because the bible is VERY clear on this subject.
"I knew you before I formed you in the womb." psalm 139:15
    End of discussion.
If the "game" is life, then everything else are just the rules.
The bible is my rule book.
    FWIW.
    Anyhoo....

  14. Ugh, oh the things I would like to say to that last comment. I must resist the temptation though... my mom would be missed if she left. I don't suppose you would know that though.

  16. You have written what I hace been feeling without even having watched the circus on TV. I hear at the inauguration he put his hand on the Holy Bible to be sworn in, but since they messed it up he had to have a redo. It has been said that there was not a Bible for the redo. Interesting.....

  17. Funny how many of those who do not share your view will not identify themselves. I publish all comments on my site that are not filled with profanity or other usless content, and I am proud to publish those who differ with me especially when they identify themselves and provide substance to their arguments. Be proud when you have posted something that gets people stirred up and talking. Pappy

  20. I just want to say that this may logically be why there is a separation between church and state...
