Supper Time

Making supper in the evenings has been so easy the past week. I fix a nice salad, cook up a vegetable, and set the whole grain bread and butter on the table. I have found the "Spring Mix" at Wegman's to be well worth the cost as it lasted the better half of last week and then some. Clean up is minimal and I'm liking this. I might never want to go back to the old way of cooking.

  1. The old way was cooking meat and potatoes, rice or pasta and making lots of dirty dishes. After all, I've always had to feed a large family. We have not been eating meat or dairy products at all this week, well, not James and me.

  2. okay for a while, but not the long haul, I would worry about your amino acids and muscle developement

  3. I'm glad you're enjoying it. I'm not so sure I would be good at staying on a diet like that for too long, but then again I've never tried it.

  4. Food Photography is a very specialized field believe it or not...and this shot of this salad makes you want a salad like NOW!
Very nice shot..and you can tell that the fixin's are very fresh indeed...even the way you describe each meal...sounds sooo great...keep it up...there could be another book here also..

  5. just make very sure of getting protein Mart...I know..I should be telling you already eh??
Chick peas are great in salads as are many other beans...also those garlic bread crumbs I think I told you about that I make with a couple day old bread...or crusts...very good crumbled in your salads too..fresh garlic rubbed on golden brown oven baked bread..crumbs..very good...
Pomegranite seeds also great on salads..can't wait to hear more about your menus..
