The Barn Collective

Out my front window and across the street is one of my favorite barns. I call it "Bob's Barn" even though it no longer belongs to Bob. It's really Dave's Barn now, but it will always be Bob's Barn to me.

I love the way the evening sun lights up the west side of the barn where the lane goes back into the orchard.

I take most shots right out my front window.

Spring.

Once upon a time we had a few apple trees in our yard.

Early autumn.

Towering pines along the orchard lane.

Sunshine again.

Before he moved, Bob had to have an old gas tank removed. The shovel made great entertainment for my grandsons.

Winter.

Perhaps one of the reasons I love Bob's Barn so much is because Bob is greatly loved. I truly miss having him as  my neighbor. Always a "Howdy, Neighbor!" a smile, and a joke or two. I really need to make a visit one day.

  1. 'Bob's' barn is great and love the apples too. I posted a shed on another meme this week and as I did so it occurred to me that 'little Albert' is about 90 years old these days.

  2. How nice to see it in all seasons!
I would have been like your grandsons - entertained by the big shovel!
    Have a blessed day!

    1. I remember being fascinated by large equipment when I was a child. Of course, my mother warned to stay away from the steam roller working in our driveway. I did, because I didn't want to be "flattened like a pancake."

  3. Why a beautiful view from your window. Bob’s/Dave’s Barn is so pretty and red. I love that you have the photo of it being removed, but sorry the apples are gone. Our old apple trees are not in good shape. We have never gotten any apples off of them to amount to anything. I really enjoyed your post. Happy Sunny Sunday.

    1. There are still lots of other apple trees around us, and only the underground fuel tank was removed at Bob's. We do love living in the orchards.

  4. I've seen a few "apple red" barns with the owner's name in our lovely part of the world. The shot with the apples in the foreground is wonderful Martha. Thanks for joining the party this week and hurry on back soon.
