The Flag Box

My father in law retired from the United States Air Force. After the military ceremony at the funeral his wife was given the folded American flag. My husband is a wood worker. In honor of his father he built a flag box which will soon be shipped to California. It is beautiful.

  1. What a beautiful piece of workmanship, and all the love that can go into making something so special.

When Don's brother passed away, our SIL who is in the military, bought a flag box, and added all of Bob's metals, ribbons and a picture. It is a treasure, and I will probably post a picture of it Memorial Day.

Tell James it a lasting tribute!

  2. WOW. That is one of the most beautiful things I have seen. I know the heart that went into this piece of work. My Brother is a true man of God. My dad Would have been blessed to have known him better. I know this would mean the world to him. As I am sure it will mean a lot to Pon. I have the best brother in the whole wide world, and I am so very proud of him. You are amazing James. And Martha, that you documented the process for us, is very special. I could just sit and watch him work for days. I could sit and watch you work too, but we would have to be sipping tea
