Sunday Afternoon

It might be good snowman making weather, but I'm pretty sure it's still a little too cold. I have been busy playing "Lazy Sunday Afternoon" and not gone out into the wild, white world choosing rather to doze on and off on the couch while NASCAR buzzes in the background.

The bluejays show up at my feeder every day,  tossing seeds out of the feeder and onto the ground below. I don't fill it as soon as it's empty, not if they empty it onto the ground. Spring is on the way now and soon the little juncos who visit the feeder all year long, will disappear. I rarely see them in the summer. I think they go to Canada.

It's time for me to start my spring cleaning. I have dresser drawers and closets that are full to overflowing but there is nowhere to put the clothes I actually wear. I honestly don't know what is taking up all the room inside my dresser drawers. Probably the summer stuff that should have been packed away for the winter or hung on a hanger. Maybe I will surprise my husband and excavate our bedroom this week.

  1. The snow has been relentless there hasn't it ~ real hibernation weather in my book.
It is cold, damp and miserable here too and I long for yhe warmer weather when we can really come alive again.
I have not got round to clearing Maria's things after almost two years since she left us, but intend doing so later in the year. Then I shall have more room to put my things, current;y a wardrobe and three drawers . . . :)
Love the Blue Jays ~ you have so many beautiful birds there . . . :)

    1. Yes, Eddie, both the snow and cold have been relentless, but March has arrived and there is hope for warmer weather just around the corner.

I can relate just a little bit to packing up the clothes of one held dear... and I am still holding onto belongings I need to let go of too.

      Have a blessed week, Eddie.

  2. We don't see Juncos in the warmer months either!

It is good spring cleaning weather...when it's warmer, we'll want to be outside!

Did your headache leave? Mine finally did this evening. Pain is exhausting, but I'm so happy it's gone I feel like dancing haha.

    1. The headache is gone at the moment. I'm planning to take some ibuprofen before I head up to bed and hoping I won't need any at all tomorrow. Felt like a totally unproductive weekend. Hate that.

You're right, we'll have several weeks of good cleaning weather and then we can play in the sunshine. I wonder what I can put on Etsy? ha!

    2. I feel like my weekend was like that, too....the laundry has piled up, the house is dirty, ugh. Tomorrow I'll play catch-up.

      You should do etsy! Really!

  3. I always feel totally rejuvenated after I have a big sort. We did a big purge before we left for Arizona.......we are here till the end of April.......and got rid of a pile of junk. There is more to do when we get back home, but we made a good start. The thing is if you haven't worn it, used it or looked at it for a year or more, chances are you don't need it. I tend to be a bit of a pack rat, but I try to keep that in mind. Sometimes it can take a bit to get started, but once I do I'm ruthless.

  4. I published before I was ready ......oooooops. Anyway good luck with the sorting. We have yucky weather here at the moment. Not freezing and snow like you, but for here in the desert it's awful:-( In the next few days it is to warm up again and by Saturday over 80 again. Sorry....

    1. I cleaned dresser drawers this morning. I have one big bag of stuff to get rid of, and!!! I can actually open and close the drawers without a struggle. (That's always a bonus.) On to something else tomorrow.
